A fanatical U.S. general launches a nuclear attack on Russia during the Cold War, but the President and his advisors are shocked to learn that the Russians have technology that will destroy the world in the event of an attack on them.
Post-film discussion will be led by historian Ray Smock. Dr. Smock is the director emeritus of the Robert C. Byrd Center for Congressional History and Education at Shepherd University, and formerly the Historian of the United States House of Representatives (1983–1995).
This film was selected by the Shepherdstown Film Society and is presented with the generous support of Shepherd University’s Scarborough Society as part of the University’s Common Reading program.
