Aristotle Jones & the Porch Pickin’ Quartet – “Streets of Osage” Tour
Known as the Appalachian Soul Man, singer-songwriter Aristotle Jones blends soulful storytelling, funky grooves, and Appalachian folk tradition. Influenced by West Virginia legends Bill Withers and Johnny Johnson, Jones weaves together the sounds of his mountain roots and the rich heritage of Black American music.
A descendant of coal miners and farmers from Osage, WV, Jones carries forward a powerful musical legacy. His grandfather, a Gospel and Soul singer, performed in segregated coal camps—passing down a tradition of courage, resilience, and heartfelt music that Jones proudly continues today.
In 2023, Jones was named a Black Appalachian Storyteller Fellow by the National Association of Black Storytellers. With his Porch Pickin’ Quartet, he brings an unforgettable evening of soul, folk, and rock ’n’ roll from the hills of Appalachia.
