A Shepherdstown Film Society presentation

Perfect Days

Director: Wim Wenders

Cast: Koji Yakusho, Tokio Emoto, Arisa Nakano, Aoi Yamada, Yumi Asô

Hirayama is content with his life as a toilet cleaner in Tokyo. He has a daily routine starting with work and ending with books and music, with some lunchtime amateur photography of the same trees every day. But when his estranged sister’s daughter Niko comes by and stays for a few days, the disruption of that routine reminds Hirayama of a past he wants to leave behind and why he has this routine in the first place.

Post-film discussion to be led by former journalist and producer (and four-time Emmy winner) Susan Mills and Film Society member Reed Hessler.

The screening of this film is sponsored by Carolyn Rodis.
